Mt Si Lutheran is extending an invitation and challenge to each congregation in our conference.
On November 22nd we invite you to ask your congregation to wear flannel to worship and take a group photo at the end with all who donned their flannel.
Why? Why not! This is just a silly, fun thing to do
Second, we also invite your congregations to bring a can of soup or chili on Nov. 22nd with the plan to donate these cans to a local food bank of your choice.
If you choose to accept this invitation and challenge - I would love for you to send your group photos to me: pastor@mtsilutheran.org. And let me know how many cans you collected.
I'll share all the photos with everyone and the grand total of cans of soup collected.
If someone doesn't have flannel - you might consider asking your folks who love fabric to dig up some flannel to make little pins or other small adornments, so all are included.
We hope you find this a fun opportunity to engage in some joy and service. And if the 22nd really doesn't work for you for any reason - feel free to do this on a different date.
